Bringing and Maintaining
Benefit to the Town

Keynsham Baptist Church is in the centre of the High Street.

An anchor building and facility in the centre of the High Street.
Bringing and maintaining facilities for the town of Keynsham and those who visit.

Helping to improve health and wellbeing for residents and visitors.
The facilities provided within the church and ancillary rooms enable a wide variety of usage by groups. There is help for those seeking to lose weight, there is support for those suffering bereavement and at times loneliness. We also provide support and hospitality for young families. As well, of course, a place for those seeking faith. We listen to the community’s needs as we might receive them to ensure that what is delivered suits all needs.

Supporting local handicraft and also the variety of cultures.
We host both craft fairs and a craft group and support the annual music festival, providing the ‘Green Room’ within our hall and using the kitchen as well.

Accessible. Fully accessible level entry. Accessible toilets. Hearing loop in the main church sanctuary.

Environmentally Targeted is seeking to improve the old lighting throughout the building and replace with energy-efficient lights, and also intends to have secondary glazing to the listed windows.

Flexible Space that can service a whole variety of usage from being solely a church through to meetings and events in the sanctuary, and with two other meeting rooms, plus the hall for bigger events, parties, meetings, etc.

Crossing the threshold is an estimated 3000 visits per year, predominantly for reasons other than a church service.

A church providing much more than religion for the majority of its visitors, the community in its broadest sense is served by the church from it central High Street position.
